The Boy Jesus At The Temple Sketch picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/31/2008 ZNIV Luke 2:41-52

41 Every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover. 42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the Feast, according to the custom. 43 After the feast was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”
49 ‘Why were you searching for me?” he asked . “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” 50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them. 51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

Deliver Me Sketch picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/31/2008 ZNIV Mark 9:14-27-32 When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them. :15 As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.
:16 “What are you arguing with them about?” he asked.
:17 A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of his speech. :18 Whenever it’s seizes him, it throw’s him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”
:19 “O unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”
:20 So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into convulsions. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.
:21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”
“From childhood,” he answered. :22 “It has often thrown him into fire and water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
:23 “’If you can’?” said Jesus. “ Everything is possible for him who believes.”
:24 Immediately the boys father exclaimed, “I do believe; Help me overcome my unbelief!”
:25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you come out of him and never enter him again.”
:26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.”
:27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.
:28 After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
:29 He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer. ( and or fasting)
:30 They left that place and passed through Galilee. Jesus did not want anyone to know where they were, :31 Because he was teaching his disciples. He said to the, “The son of man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill him and after three days he will rise.” :32 But they did not understand what he meant and were afraid to ask him about it.

Jesus Sketch picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/31/2008 After coming back to the Lord on New Years Eve 2004. I Started Sketching and later painting pictures of my testimony to led people in the direction of truth (in Jesus). This was one of the first. Also at this time A friend in the 90's had heart problems and was going to the hospital and I felt to share a picture of angel and this one here whom she identified as Jesus. I am glad and proud I shared with here this picture at this time. She did not have much time left and I know it was to help both of us in our walk of life. You can see by the date on picture that the pictures started coming to me immediately after that new years eve and not a second to late or early. For Gods timing is perfect. Now all I can do is pray that she is in the right place (heaven). I believe so, but I am not God. Know however, it pointed this older friend to what I believed was the correct direction.
ZNIV Revelation 22:12,16,17 Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
:16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
:17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
ZNIV Hebrews 1:14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
Davied And Goliath Sketch picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/31/2008 ZNIV 1 Samuel 17:1-49-58 Now the Philistines gathered their forces for war and assembled at Socoh in Judah. They pitched camp at Ephes Dammim, between Socoh and Azekah. :2 Saul and the Israelites assembled and camped in the Valley of Elah and drew up their battle line to meet the Philistines. :3 The Philistines occupied one hill and the Israelites another, with the valley between them.
:4 A champion named Goliath, who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. He was over nine feet tall. :5 He had a bronze helmet on his head and wore a coat of scale armor of bronze weighing five thousand shekels, :6 on his legs he wore bronze greaves, and a bronze javelin was slung on his back. :7 His spear shaft was like a weaver’s rod, and its iron point weighed six hundred shekels (15 pounds). His shield bearer went ahead of him.
:8 Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, “Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not servants of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me. :9 if he is able to fight and kill me, we will become your subjects; but if I overcome him and kill him, you will become our subjects and serve us.” :10 Then the Philistines said, “This day I defy the ranks of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other.” :11 On hearing the Philistine’s words Saul and all the Israelites were dismayed and terrified.
:12 Now David was the son of an Ephrathite named Jesse, who was from Bethlehem in Judah. Jesse had eight sons, and in Saul’s time he was old and well advanced in years. :13 Jesse’s three oldest sons had followed Saul to the war: The firstborn was Eliab; the second, Abinadab; and the third, Shammah.
:14 David was the youngest. The three oldest followed Saul, :15 but David went back and forth from Saul to tend his fathers sheep at Bethlehem.
:16 For forty days the Philistine came forward every morning and every evening and took his stand.
:17 Now Jesse said to his son David, “Take this ephah of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread for your brothers and hurry to their camp. :18 Take along these ten cheeses to the commander to their unit. See how your brothers are and bring back some assurance from them. :19 they are with Saul and all the men of Israel in the valley of Elah, fighting against Philistines.”
:20 Early in the morning David left the flock with a shepherd, loaded up and set out, as Jesse had directed. He reached the camp as the army was going out to it’s battle positions, shouting the war cry. :21 Israel and the Philistines were drawing up their lines facing each other. :22 David left his things with the keeper of supplies, ran to the battle lines and greeted his brothers. :23 As he talking with them, Goliath, the Philistines champion from Gath, stepped out from his lines and shouted his usual defiance, and David heard it. :24 When the Israelites saw the man, they all ran from him in great fear.
:25 Now the Israelites had been saying, “Do you see how this man keeps coming out? He comes out to defy Israel. The king will give great wealth to the man who kills him. He will also give him his daughter in marriage and will exempt his fathers family from taxes in Israel.”
:26 David asked the men standing near him, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?”
:27 They repeated to him what they had been saying and told him, “This is what will be done for the man who kills him.”
:28 When Eliab, David’s oldest brother, heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, “ Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the desert? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; You came down only to watch the battle.”
:29 “Now what have I done?” said David. “Can’t I even speak?” :30 He then turned away to someone else and brought up the same matter, and the men answered him as before. :31 What David said was overheard and reported to Saul, and Saul sent for him.
:32 David said to Saul, ”Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.”
:33 Saul replied, “ You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a boy, and he has been fighting man from his youth.”
:34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock. :35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. :36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. :37 The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”
:38 Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head. :39 David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried waling around because he was not used to them.
“I cannot go in these,” he said to Saul, “Because I am not used to them.” So he took them off. :40 Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in a pouch of his shepherds bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine.
:41 Meanwhile, the Philistine, with his shield bearer in front of him, kept coming closer to David. :42 He looked David over and saw that he was only a boy, ruddy and handsome, and he despised him. :43 He said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come at me with sticks?” and the Philistine cursed David by his gods. :44 “Come here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!”
:45 David said to the Philistine, “ You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. :46 This day the Lord hand you over to me, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. :47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands.”
:48 As the Philistines moved to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. :49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
:50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him
:51 David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine’s sword and drew it from the scabbard. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword.
When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they turned and ran. :52 Then the men of Israel and Judah surged forward with a shout and pursued the Philistines to the entrance of Gath and to the gates of Ekron. Their dead were strewn along the Shaaraim road to Gath and Ekron. :53 When the Israelites returned from chasing the Philistines, They plundered their camp. :54 David took the Philistine’s head and brought it to Jerusalem, and he put the Philistine’s weapons in his own tent.
:55 As Saul watched David going out to meet the Philistine, he asked Abner, commander of the army, “Abner, whose son is that man?”
Abner replied, “ As surely as you live, O king, I don’t know.”
:56 The king said, “Find out whose son this young man is.”
:57 As soon as David returned from killing the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul, with David still holding the Philistine’s head.
:58 “whose son are you, young man?” Saul asked him.
David said, “ I am the son of Jesse of Bethlehem.”

Lazarus Come Out Sketch picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/31/2008 ZNIV John 11:1-38-44 Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. :2 This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair. :3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”
:4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death: No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” :5 Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. :6 Yet when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days.
:7 Then he said to his disciples, “Lets us go back to Judea.”
:8 But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews tried to stone you, and yet you are going back there?”
:9 Jesus answered, “ Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this worlds light. :10 It is when he walks by night that he stumbles, fr he has no light.”
:11 After he said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake him up.”
:12 His disciples replied, “Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better.” :13 Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep. :14 So then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead, :15 And for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”
:17 On his arrival, Jesus found Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. :18 Bethany was less than two miles from Jerusalem, :19 And many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother. :20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.
:21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. :22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”
:23 Jesus said to her, “ Your brother will rise again.”
:24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again at the resurrection at the last day.”
:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; :26 And whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
:27 “Yes, Lord,” she told him, “I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”
:28 And after she has said this she went back and called and her sister Mary aside. “The Teacher is here, “she said, “and is asking for you” :29 When Mary heard this, she got up quickly and went to him. :30 Now Jesus had not yet entered the village, but was still at the place where Martha had met him. :31 When the Jews who had been with Mary in the house, comforting her, noticed how quickly she got up and went out, they followed her, supposing she was going to the tomb to mourn there.
:32 When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
:33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. :34 “Where have you laid him?” he asked. “Come and see, Lord, “they replied”.
:35 Jesus wept.
:36 Then the Jews said, “See how he loved him!”
:37 But some of them said, “Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man have kept this man from dying?”
:38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. :39 “Take away the stone.” he said.
“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “By this time there is a bad odor, for he had been there for days.”
:40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you would see the glory of God?”
:41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. ;42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”
:43 When he had said this, Jesus called out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” :44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.
Jesus said to them “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

The Escape To Egypt Sketch picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/31/2008 ZNIV Matthew 2:13-18

13: When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.
:14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, :15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.” :16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and it’s vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. :17 Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled.
:18 “A voice is heard in Ramah,
weeping and great
mourning,
Rachel weeping for her
children
and refusing to be
comforted,
because they are no more.”

Daniel And The Lions Den Scetch picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/31/2008 Daniel And The Lions Den

ZNIV Daniel 6:1-21,22-28 It pleased Darius to appoint 120 satraps to rule throughout the kingdom, :2 with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss. :3 Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. :4 At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent, :5 Finally these men said, “We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.”
:6 So the administrators and the satraps went as a group to the king and said: “O King Darius, live forever! :7 The royal administrators, prefects, satraps, advisers and governors have all agreed that the king should issue an edict and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any god or man during the next thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be thrown into the lions’ den. :8 Now, O king, issue the decree and put it in writing so that it cannot be altered-in accordance with the laws of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.” :9 So King Darius put the decree in writing.
:10 Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. :11 Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help. :12 So they went to the king and spoke to him about his royal decree: “Did you not publish a decree that during the next thirty days anyone who prays to any god or man except to you, O king, would be thrown into the lions’ den?”
The King answered, “The decree stands-in accordance with the laws of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.”
:13 Then they said to the king, “Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or to the decree you put in writing. He still prays three times a day.”
:14 When the king heard ths, he was determined; to rescue Daniel and made every effort until sundown to save him.
:15 Then the men went as a group and said to him, “Remember, O king, that according to the law of the Medes and Persians no decree or edict that the king issues can be changed.”
:16 So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!”
:17 A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel’s situation might nt be changed. :18 Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.
:19 At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. :20 When he came near the den, he called to Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?”
:21 Daniel answered. O king, live forever! :22 My God sent his angel, and shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you. O king.”
:23 The king was overjoyed and gave the orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.
:24 At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.
:25 Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language throughout the land:

May you prosper greatly!

:26 “ I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel.

“For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed,

:27 He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth.

“For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed,
His dominion will never end.
:27 He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth.
He has rescued Daniel from the lions.”

:28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

The Return To Nazareth Sketch picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/31/2008 ZNIV Mathew 2:19-23

19 After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt :20 and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child life are dead.”
:21 So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. :22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, :23 and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets: “He will be called a Nazarene.”

ZNIV Luke 24:1-4-12

1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again,’ “ 8 Then they remembered his words.
9 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. 11 But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like non-sense. 12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.

Elisha Restores Life To Shunammites Son Sketch picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/31/2008 2 Kings 4:8-36

8: One day Elisha went to Shunem. And a well-to-do woman was there, who urged him to stay for a meal. So whenever he came by, he stopped there to eat. 9: She said to her husband, “I know this man who often comes our way is a holy man of God. 10: Let’s make a small room on the roof and put in it a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him. Then he can stay there whenever he comes to us.”
11: One day when Elisha came, he went up to his room and lay down there. 12: He said to his servant Gehazi, “Call the Shunammite.” So he called her, and she stood before him. 13: Elisha said to him, “Tell her, You have gone through all this trouble for us. Now what can be done for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or the commander of the army?”
She replied “I have a home among my own people.”
14: “What can be done for her?” Elisha asked.
Gehazi said, “Well she has no son and her husband is old.”
15: Then Elisha said “Call her”. So he called her, and she stood in the doorway.
16: “About this time next year,” Elisha said, “You will hold your son in your arms.”
“No my Lord,” she objected. “Don’t mislead your servant, O man of God!”
17: But the woman became pregnant, and the next year about that same time she gave birth to a son, just as Elisha had told her.
18: The child grew, and one day he went out to his father, who was with the reapers.
19: “My head!” he said to his father.
His father told a servant “Carry him to his mother.” 20: After the servant had lifted him up and carried him to his mother, the boy sat on her lap until noon, and then he died.
21: She went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, then shut the door and went out.
22: She called her husband and said “Please send me one of the servants and a donkey so I can go to the man of God quickly and return.”
23: Why go to him today?” he asked. “It’s not the New Moon or the Sabbath.” It’s all right she said
24: She saddled the donkey and said to her servant “Lead on; don’t slow down for me unless I tell you.”
25: So she set out and came to the man of God at Mount Carmel. When he saw her in the distance, the man of God said to his servant Gehazi, “Look! There’s the Shunammite!
26: Run to meet her and ask her, “Are you all right? Is your husband all right? Is your child all right?” Everything is all right, she said.
27: When she reached the man of God at the mountain, she took hold of his feet. Gehazi came over to push her away, but the man of God said, “Leave her alone she is in bitter distress, but the Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me why.”
28: Did I ask you for a son, my lord”? she said. Didn’t I tell you, “Don’t raise my hopes?”
29: Elisha said to Gehazi, “Tuck your cloak into your belt, take my staff in your hand and run. If you meet anyone, do not greet him, and if anyone greets you, do not answer. Lay my staff on the boy’s face.”
30: But the child’s mother said, “As surely as the Lord lived and as you live, I will not leave you.” So he got up and followed her.
31: Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound or response. So Gehazi went back to meet Elisha and told him, “The boy has not awakened.”
32: When Elisha reached the house, there was the boy lying dead on the couch.
33: He went in, shut the door on the two of them and prayed to the Lord.
34: Then he got on the bed and lay upon the boy, mouth to mouth, eyes to eyes, hands to hands,. As he stretched himself out upon him, the boy’s body grew warm.
35: Elisha turned away and walked back and forth in the room and then got up on the bed and stretched out upon him once more. The boy sneezed seven time and opened his eyes.
36: Elisha summoned Gehazi and said “Call the Shunammite.” And he did. When she came in fell at his feet and bowed to the ground. Then she took her son and went out.

Isaac And Rebekeh Sketch picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/31/2008 ZNIV Genesis 24:1-66

24:1 Abraham was now old and well advanced in years, and the Lord had blessed him in every way. 2: He said to the chief ( or oldest ) servant in his house-hold, the one in charge of all that he had, “Put your hand under my thigh.
3: I want you to swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you will not get a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I am living, 4: but will go to my country and my own relatives and get a wife for my son Isaac.”
5: The servant asked him, “What if the woman is unwilling to come back with me to this land? Shall I then take your son back to the country you came from?”
6: Make sure that you do not take my son back there,” Abraham said. 7: “The Lord, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your offspring (or seed) I will give this land’-he will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there. 8: If the woman is unwilling to come back with you, then you will be released from this oath of mine.” 9: So the servant put his hand under the thigh of his master Abraham and swore an oath to him concerning this matter.
10: Then the servant took ten of his master’s camels and left, taking with him all kinds of good things from his master. He set out for Aram Naharaim (Northwestern Mesopotamia) and made his way to the town of Nahor. 11: He had the camels kneel down near the well outside the town; it was toward evening, the time the woman go out to draw water.
12: The he prayed, “O Lord, God of my master Abraham, give me success today, and show kindness to my master Abraham. 13: See, I am standing beside this spring, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water. 14: May it be that when I say to a girl, ’Please let me down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ’Drink, and I’ll water your camels too’-let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”
15: Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the duaghter of Bethuel son of Milcah, who was the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor. 16: The girl was very beautiful, a virgin; no man had evr lain with her. She went down to the spring, filled her jar and came up again.
17: The servant hurried to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water from your jar.”
18: “Drink, my Lord, “ she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink.
19: After she had given him a drink, she said, “I’ll draw water for your camels too, until they have finished drinking.’ 20: So she quickly emptied her jar into the the trough, ran back to the well to draw more water, and dreww enough for all his camels. 21: Without saying a word, the man watched her closely to learn whether or not the Lord had made his journey successful.
22: When the camels had finished drinking, the man took out a gold nose ring weighing a beka (about 1/5 ounce) and two gold bracelets weighing ten shekels. (about 4 ounces) 23: Then he asked, “Whose daughter are you? Please tell me, is there room in your father’s house for us to pend the night?”
24: She answered him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son that Milcah bore to Nahor.” 25: And she added, “We have plenty of straw and fodder, as well as room for you to spend the night.”
26: The the man bowed down and worshiped the Lord, 27: saying, “Praise be to the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master. As for me, the Lord has led me on the journey to the house of my master’s relatives.”
28: The girl ran and told her mother’s household about these things. 29: Now Rebekah had a brother named Laban, and he hurried out to the man at the spring. 30: As soon as he had seen the nose ring, and the bracelets on his sister’s arms, and had heard Rebekah tell what the man said to her, he went out to the man and found him standing by the camels near the spring. 31: Come, you who are blessed by the Lord,” he said. “Why are you standing out here? I have prepared the camels.”
32: So the man went to the house, and the camels were unloaded. Straw and fodder were brought for the camels, and water for him and his men to wash their feet. 33: Then food was set before him, but he said, “I will not eat until I have told you what I have to say.”
“Then tell us,” Laban, said.
34: So he said, “I am Abraham’s servant. 35: The Lord has blessed my master abundantly, and he has bcome wealthy, He has given him sheep and cattle, silver and gold, menservants and maidservants, and camels and donkeys. 36: My master’s wife Sarah has borne him a son in her (his) old age, and he has given him everything he owns. 37: And my master made me swear an oath, and said, ‘You must not get a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I live, 38: but go to my father’s family and to my own clan, and get a wife for my son.’

39: “The I asked my master, ’Whatif the woman wll not come back with me?’
40: He replied, ‘The Lord, before whom I have walked, will send his angel with you and make your journey a success, so that you can get a wife for my son from my own clan and frm my father’s family. 41: Then, when you go to my clan, you will be released from my oath even if they refuse to give her to you-you will be released from my oath.’
42: ‘When I came to the spring today, I said, ‘O Lord, God of my master Abraham, if you will, please grant success to the journey on which I have come. 43: See, I am standing beside this spring; if a maiden comes out to draw water and I say to her, “Please let me drink a little water from your jar,” and if she says to me, “Drink, and I’ll draw water for your camels too,” let her be the one the Lord has chosen for my master’s son.’
45: Before I finished praying in my heart, Rebekah came out, with her jar on her shoulder. She went down to the spring and drew water, and I said to her, ‘Please give me a drink.’

ZNIV Genesis 24:1-66

By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”
15: Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder.
