High Impact Ministries Logo picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/15/2007 My name is Daniel Henning and here is a small part of my story or testimony that I pray is a great blessing for you and your family.
I was 24 in 1987 when I fell coming down off a roof while doing some roof work, painting, and siding. I was at the time a young man who was about to go on a unpleasant ride even further from the God I now know as my savior.
When I fell I did not know immediately, but the sudden pop told me something may not be rite. I fell only a short distance, however I landed in such a way, head first. I am or should have been thanking God then, that I did not die at that moment from a broken neck. I did a number on my rotator cuff, sternum, back and neck. I had chronic pain that was so painful no words did it justice now or then.
After many years in the range of 10 plus and after many years of physical therapy and 5 plus surgeries. I was taking even stronger and stronger medication to try to get relief from the pain. I was miserable and in extreme pain. My body was a twisted mess of a once healthy individual. To give you an accurate picture. When I walked straight my upper body was actually pointing slightly right. Guess I don’t have to tell you this was not good.
Anyhow one of the last procedures was to put a couple anchor’s in my shoulder to hold and keep joint in place. This to failed to help. I went back to see again a doctor in NYC . Who was going to do a shoulder replacement. However after I was asleep and under it was determined he would not to be able to help me. Even though it was coming out of joint on the slightest movement. You see the medication I had taken for years (doctor prescribed) made it spasm and my shoulder frooze. I was now addicted to at this point (unwillingly) to my pain medication. And was now a part of my problem. Causing me to be in constant spasm and massive pain. The doctors were saying my problems might be in my head. Even though at this point my shoulder could come out of joint very easy and pictures from then tell a different story. And I’m not saying doctors don’t have a great place for their God given talent and do awesome things at times. But looking back at my problem, it was a combination of spiritual and physical problems that was robbing me of my life. And for this reason I’m glad I did not have last surgery.
You see at this point I was at the end of a long, long extremely long rope and it seemed to be getting shorter rapidly. I was about to give up because I had lost my life with then girl friend and are beautiful little girl. Nothing seemed right and it wasn’t now looking back on things. I felt I was dieing in many ways.
I am however here to tell you that when I was about to give. My God or our Savior was just getting ready to do a mighty work in my life. After about killing myself and realizing that was no answer and a lot harder than one might think. I started talking to my mother saying some prayers with her and her friend (and mine now). I was led to Christ (the anointed one). My mom and her friend thank God they had been Christians for many years (and had prayed for years for me and my family unknowingly to me). Thanks for those prayers and that first bible mom. It saved my life.
I was led to Jesus Christ and Baptized in the Spirit, New Years Eve 2004 in a small town in upstate NY (thank God to Pastor Wayne) and his wife also a Pastor Barbra and people like my mom and Pastor Mike and Sue that teach the unfailing Word of God (the Holy Bible).
I can now tell you that I’m still not perfect, but I am much faster at asking for forgiveness. I can tell you the answer is not with anyone else, but one. The beginning and the end is truly ‘Jesus’ for dieing on the cross and rising three days later. And because of that all things are possible. (thank God)
You see I was not just filled with the Spirit that New Years. I was touched in such a way I know that it would actually be wrong to deny him as my savior. In fact it felt like a ten trillion ton weight was lifted from my chest when I did except him. I was healed of a very sinful life (one that I was unaware of at the time)and was healed of addictions and pain. I was healed of a then deformity. I was healed and made whole. I was, I was filled with the living God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The One that gave Moses the ten commandments. The One that healed many 2000+ years ago truly does live and is as close as you want him to be.
He is simply and always only a prayer away. It is as simple for you to receive as it was me. Ask the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega, Jesus in your life and watch what He can do. Don’t forget he gave Moses the strength and knowledge and wisdom to save the Jews from Pharroh. He gave Daniel strength to over come the lions. And David the power over Goliath. As He did with countless others from the beginning of time. Simply put, He will never give up on you.
I pray that as you enjoy this series God becomes ever more real in your life. That people pick the bible up, and some for the first time. That you discover what I found, a living God. A God of such compassion He gave his only son, that we might live though him for eternity.
You know David did a great thing in 1st Samuel. He knew the power of spoken words. He spoke his victory over Goliath. As I am speaking over you all now. I pray to that millions are not only saved, but made completely whole from head to toe. That the blind can see and the deaf can hear. Cancer and all diseases must bow down and millions are set free. That miracles come to life for you and your family for what ever you are believing and praying for. That hearts are healed. That you become a new creation as intended. That as you pick up your bibles, great revelation comes to you every time. That you see and hear things in the Spirit. That the Holy One of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob guide your every step forever more. And most important, if you do not have Jesus in your life you except him as your personal savior. That he died for each and everyone of us (meaning you to). That when you ask for his forgiveness of your sins and Jesus to move in your life he answers with a calm still voice. Praise The Lord…. Amen.

God Bless,

Daniel Henning
Ps. Just a good word to think about……..
When you except Jesus and the Holy Spirit sent by our father in heaven enters your life as in this next old testiment scriptural example. Only God knows what is really intended for your life. That if we harken to him as commanded, truly great miracles are possible and do happen.
Exodus 35:30-35
:30 Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the Lord has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, :31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts- :32 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, :33 to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic craftsmanship. :34 And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others. :35 He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers-all of them master craftsmen and designers. 36:1 So Bezalel, Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the Lord has given skill and ability to know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary (or Tabernacle) are to do the work just as the Lord has commanded.

NIV Psalm 20:2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.

NIV Psalm 68:13 Even while you sleep among the campfires, the wings of my dove are sheathed with silver, it’s feathers with shining gold.

NIV Psalm 16:7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.

NIV Revelation 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to the churches (temples). To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life which is in the paradise of God.

NIV John 1:32-34 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him”. I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ’the man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ I have seen and I testify that this is the son of God. “

NIV John 14:15-31 “If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the father and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever- the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him or knows him, for he lives with you and will be in you. :18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. :19 Before long the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. :20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. :21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”

NIV Acts 1:1-5 And in my former book,
Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. :3 After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. :4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “ Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my father promised, which you have heard me speak about. :5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit”.

NIV Acts 2: 1-4-13 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. :2 Suddenly a sound like a blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. :3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. :4 All of them were filled with the holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the spirit enabled them. :5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven, :6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. :7 Utterly amazed they asked: “Are not all these men speaking Galileans? :8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language? :9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, :10 Phyrgia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene: visitors from Rome :11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs- we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own native tongues!” :12 Amazed and perplexed they asked one another, “What does this mean?” :13 Some, however made fun of them and said, “They have had to much wine”. Then Peter stood up with the eleven, raised his voiced and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. :15 These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! :16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: :17 ’In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all peoples. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. :18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy

ZNIV Isaiah 35: 1-8-10 The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, :2 it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God. :3 Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; :4 Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will save you.” :5 Then will the eyes of the blind be open and the ears of the deaf unstopped. :6 Then will the lame leap like a deer and a mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. :7 The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs. In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow. :8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those walk in that way; wicked fools will not go about on it. :9 No lion will be there, nor will any ferocious beast get up on it; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there, :10 and the ransom of the Lord will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Moses And The Red Sea (or Sea of Reed) picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 03/19/2007 Moses “Act of Obedience”

ZNIV Exodus 13, 14:1-21-29,15 1-18
:21 Then Moses stretched out his hand and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, :22 and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

DH. Moses on several occasions was told to do something as an act of obedience for the Lord. In every one of these acts the Lord did a beautiful miracle and I pray the Lord the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob shows you his grace, mercy and power. By speaking to your hearts and in an act of obedience (like Moses). I pray you obey and see the miraculous and beautiful wonders of the Lord Jesus in your own life. May God bless you now and for eternity as only he can do. Moses staff to snake and lifting staff for the splitting of the Red Sea or (Sea of Reeds) seem to be only simple acts to man, but to God it is much deeper when you act on what he (the Holy Spirit) is relaying and could mean making it through deep waters and not getting wet (in your own life) or drowning. For the Holy Spirit is our helper sent from God above.
Daniel And The Lions Den picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/15/2007 Daniel And The Lions Den

NIV Daniel 6:1-21,22-28 It pleased Darius to appoint 120 satraps to rule throughout the kingdom, :2 with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss. :3 Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. :4 At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent, :5 Finally these men said, “We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.”
:6 So the administrators and the satraps went as a group to the king and said: “O King Darius, live forever! :7 The royal administrators, prefects, satraps, advisers and governors have all agreed that the king should issue an edict and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any god or man during the next thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be thrown into the lions’ den. :8 Now, O king, issue the decree and put it in writing so that it cannot be altered-in accordance with the laws of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.” :9 So King Darius put the decree in writing.
:10 Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. :11 Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help. :12 So they went to the king and spoke to him about his royal decree: “Did you not publish a decree that during the next thirty days anyone who prays to any god or man except to you, O king, would be thrown into the lions’ den?”
The King answered, “The decree stands-in accordance with the laws of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.”
:13 Then they said to the king, “Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or to the decree you put in writing. He still prays three times a day.”
:14 When the king heard ths, he was determined; to rescue Daniel and made every effort until sundown to save him.
:15 Then the men went as a group and said to him, “Remember, O king, that according to the law of the Medes and Persians no decree or edict that the king issues can be changed.”
:16 So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!”
:17 A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel’s situation might nt be changed. :18 Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.
:19 At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. :20 When he came near the den, he called to Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?”
:21 Daniel answered. O king, live forever! :22 My God sent his angel, and shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you. O king.”
:23 The king was overjoyed and gave the orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.
:24 At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.
:25 Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language throughout the land:

May you prosper greatly!

:26 “ I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel.

“For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed,
His dominion will never end.
:27 He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth.
He has rescued Daniel from the lions.”

:28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian

Abraham And Isaac picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 02/27/2007 Abraham and Isaac

NIV Genesis 22:1-10,11-19 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!”
“Here I am,” he replied.
:2Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.”
:3 Early the next morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. :4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. :5 He said to his servants, “ stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will come back to you.”
:6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, :7 Isaac spoke up to his father Abraham, “Father?”
“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.
“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”
:8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.
:9When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on top of the wood. :10 Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. :11 But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!”
“Here I am,” he replied.
:12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”
:13 Abraham looked up and there in the thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead f his son. :14 So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”
:15 The angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time :16 and said, “I swear by myself , declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, :17 I will surely bless you and make your descendents as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendents will take possession of the cities of their enemies, :18 and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”
:19 Then Abraham returned to his servants, and they set off together for Beersheba. And Abraham stayed in Beersheba.

ZNIV Exodus 4:3-5
Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?”
:2 Then the Lord said to him’ “What is that in your hand?”
“A staff,” he replied.
:3 The Lord said, “Throw it on the ground.”
Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it. :4 Then the Lord said to him, “reach out your had and take it by the tail.” So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand.
:5 “This,” said the Lord, “is so that they may believe that the Lord, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob- has appeared to you.”

Luke13:10-16 On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years; She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put hands on her, And immediately she straightened up and praised God.
Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people. “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”
The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”
When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.
David And Goliath picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/15/2007 David And Goliath

NIV 1 Samuel 17:1-49-58 Now the Philistines gathered their forces for war and assembled at Socoh in Judah. They pitched camp at Ephes Dammim, between Socoh and Azekah. :2 Saul and the Israelites assembled and camped in the Valley of Elah and drew up their battle line to meet the Philistines. :3 The Philistines occupied one hill and the Israelites another, with the valley between them.
:4 A champion named Goliath, who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. He was over nine feet tall. :5 He had a bronze helmet on his head and wore a coat of scale armor of bronze weighing five thousand shekels, :6 on his legs he wore bronze greaves, and a bronze javelin was slung on his back. :7 His spear shaft was like a weaver’s rod, and its iron point weighed six hundred shekels (15 pounds). His shield bearer went ahead of him.
:8 Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, “Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not servants of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me. :9 if he is able to fight and kill me, we will become your subjects; but if I overcome him and kill him, you will become our subjects and serve us.” :10 Then the Philistines said, “This day I defy the ranks of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other.” :11 On hearing the Philistine’s words Saul and all the Israelites were dismayed and terrified.
:12 Now David was the son of an Ephrathite named Jesse, who was from Bethlehem in Judah. Jesse had eight sons, and in Saul’s time he was old and well advanced in years. :13 Jesse’s three oldest sons had followed Saul to the war: The firstborn was Eliab; the second, Abinadab; and the third, Shammah.
:14 David was the youngest. The three oldest followed Saul, :15 but David went back and forth from Saul to tend his fathers sheep at Bethlehem.
:16 For forty days the Philistine came forward every morning and every evening and took his stand.
:17 Now Jesse said to his son David, “Take this ephah of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread for your brothers and hurry to their camp. :18 Take along these ten cheeses to the commander to their unit. See how your brothers are and bring back some assurance from them. :19 they are with Saul and all the men of Israel in the valley of Elah, fighting against Philistines.”
:20 Early in the morning David left the flock with a shepherd, loaded up and set out, as Jesse had directed. He reached the camp as the army was going out to it’s battle positions, shouting the war cry. :21 Israel and the Philistines were drawing up their lines facing each other. :22 David left his things with the keeper of supplies, ran to the battle lines and greeted his brothers. :23 As he was talking with them, Goliath, the Philistines champion from Gath, stepped out from his lines and shouted his usual defiance, and David heard it. :24 When the Israelites saw the man, they all ran from him in great fear.
:25 Now the Israelites had been saying, “Do you see how this man keeps coming out? He comes out to defy Israel. The king will give great wealth to the man who kills him. He will also give him his daughter in marriage and will exempt his fathers family from taxes in Israel.”
:26 David asked the men standing near him, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?”
:27 They repeated to him what they had been saying and told him, “This is what will be done for the man who kills him.”
:28 When Eliab, David’s oldest brother, heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, “ Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the desert? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; You came down only to watch the battle.”
:29 “Now what have I done?” said David. “Can’t I even speak?” :30 He then turned away to someone else and brought up the same matter, and the men answered him as before. :31 What David said was overheard and reported to Saul, and Saul sent for him.
:32 David said to Saul,”Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.”
:33 Saul replied, “ You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a boy, and he has been fighting man from his youth.”
:34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock. :35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. :36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. :37 The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”
:38 Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head. :39 David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried waling around because he was not used to them.
“I cannot go in these,” he said to Saul, “Because I am not used to them.” So he took them off. :40 Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in a pouch of his shepherds bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine.
:41 Meanwhile, the Philistine, with his shield bearer in front of him, kept coming closer to David. :42 He looked David over and saw that he was only a boy, ruddy and handsome, and he despised him. :43 He said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come at me with sticks?” and the Philistine cursed David by his gods. :44 “Come here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!”
:45 David said to the Philistine, “ You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. :46 This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. :47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands.”
:48 As the Philistines moved to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. :49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
:50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him
:51 David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine’s sword and drew it from the scabbard. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword.
When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they turned and ran. :52 Then the men of Israel and Judah surged forward with a shout and pursued the Philistines to the entrance of Gath and to the gates of Ekron. Their dead were strewn along the Shaaraim road to Gath and Ekron. :53 When the Israelites returned from chasing the Philistines, They plundered their camp. :54 David took the Philistine’s head and brought it to Jerusalem, and he put the Philistine’s weapons in his own tent.
:55 As Saul watched David going out to meet the Philistine, he asked Abner, commander of the army, “Abner, whose son is that man?”
Abner replied, “ As surely as you live, O king, I don’t know.”
:56 The king said, “Find out whose son this young man is.”
:57 As soon as David returned from killing the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul, with David still holding the Philistine’s head.
:58 “whose son are you, young man?” Saul asked him.
David said, “ I am the son son of Jesse of Bethlehem.”

ZNIV Luke 24:1-4-12

1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again,’ “ 8 Then they remembered his words.
9 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. 11 But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like non-sense. 12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.

Lazarus Come Out picture by Daniel Guy Henning Date: 12/15/2007 Lazarus Come Out

ZNIV John 11:1-38-44 Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. 2 This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair. 3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”
4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” 5 Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6 Yet when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days.
7 Then he said to his disciples, “Lets us go back to Judea.”
8 But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews tried to stone you, and yet you are going back there?”
9 Jesus answered, “ Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this worlds light. 10 It is when he walks by night that he stumbles, for he has no light.”
11 After he said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake him up.”
12 His disciples replied, “Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better.” 13 Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep. 14 So then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead, 15 And for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”
17 On his arrival, Jesus found Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. 18 Bethany was less than two miles from Jerusalem, 19 And many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother. 20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.
21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”
23 Jesus said to her, “ Your brother will rise again.”
24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again at the resurrection at the last day.”
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26 And whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
27 “Yes, Lord,” she told him, “I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”
28 And after she has said this she went back and called and her sister Mary aside. “The Teacher is here, “she said, “and is asking for you.” 29 When Mary heard this, she got up quickly and went to him. 30 Now Jesus had not yet entered the village, but was still at the place where Martha had met him. 31 When the Jews who had been with Mary in the house, comforting her, noticed how quickly she got up and went out, they followed her, supposing she was going to the tomb to mourn there.
32 When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. 34 “Where have you laid him?” he asked. “Come and see, Lord, “they replied”.
35 Jesus wept.
36 Then the Jews said, “See how he loved him!”
37 But some of them said, “Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man have kept this man from dying?”
38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. 39 “Take away the stone.” he said.
“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “By this time there is a bad odor, for he had been there for days.”
40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you would see the glory of God?”
41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”
43 When he had said this, Jesus called out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.
Jesus said to them “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

NIV Mark 9:14-27-32 When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them. :15 As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.
:16 “What are you arguing with them about?” he asked.
:17 A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of his speech. :18 Whenever it’s seizes him, it throw’s him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”
:19 “O unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”
:20 So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into convulsions. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.
:21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”
“From childhood,” he answered. :22 “It has often thrown him into fire and water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
:23 “’If you can’?” said Jesus. “ Everything is possible for him who believes.”
:24 Immediately the boys father exclaimed, “I do believe; Help me overcome my unbelief!”
:25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you come out of him and never enter him again.”
:26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.”
:27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.
:28 After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
:29 He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer. ( and or fasting)
:30 They left that place and passed through Galilee. Jesus did not want anyone to know where they were, :31 Because he was teaching his disciples. He said to the, “The son of man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill him and after three days he will rise.” :32 But they did not understand what he meant and were afraid to ask him about it.

The Birth of Jesus Foretold
Luke 1:26-38

26 In the sixth month, God sent his angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendent of David. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34 “How will this be.” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37 For nothing is impossible with God.”
38 I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.” Then the angel left her.

I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.”
17 Abraham fell facedown, he laughed and said to himself, “Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?”

NIV Luke 15:11-32 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. :12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.
:13 “not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. :14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. :15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. :16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
:17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! :18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. :19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.’ :20 So he got up and went to his father.
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
:21 The son said to him, father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.
:22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger (signet ring) and sandals on his feet. :23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s celebrate. :24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.
:25 Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. :26 So he called to one of the servants and asked him what was going on. :27 ‘your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’
:28 “The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. :29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. :30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
:31 ‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. :32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.”
